EXPERIENCING A FIORENTINA MATCH AT STADIUM FRANCHI

Stadio Artemio Franchi is home to Florence’s football team, ACF Fiorentina. The stadium was opened on September 13th, 1931 and was renovated in 1990. There is room for over 43,000 spectators and was even used for the FIFA World Cup in 1934 and 1990. The ACF Fiorentina, more commonly known as Viola, have won two italian championships and one Supercoppa Italiana trophy. To purchase tickets to a match at Stadio Artemio Franchi, you can do so right on their website, en.violachannel.tv. Along with purchasing tickets, the website also has the most up to date information on recent wins and other news, an online shop for gear, and links to their social media accounts following the team.

The stadium itself is a walkable distance from the city center, and offers a great view from every seat of both the game and the Tuscan hills in the distance! If you would rather not walk to, or from the game, you can also opt to take the tram or the bus depending on where you are coming from in the city center. Although there are some die hard fans for Viola, it is not intimating to be there if you are not one yourself. It is a great environment for anyone who has never been to a game before and the stadium is not too big and overwhelming like others.  Once you purchase your tickets, you are just given a section number not a seat number. The seats in your section are first come, first serve so make an effort to get there before kickoff to get the best seat!

Location: Viale Manfredo Fanti, 4, 50137 Firenze FI
